ESD (Electrostatic Dissipative) Seating
HORIZON ESD seating is designed for use as part of an ESD control program in areas where control of static electricity is crucial (areas of sensitive electronic equipment, electronics assembly and repair, as well as in the vicinity of volatile chemicals and materials). Industry experts estimate the actual cost of electrostatic discharge damage to the electronics industry as running into the billions of dollars annually. Electrostatic discharge affects production yields, manufacturing costs, product quality, product reliability and ultimately, profitability.
Wipe Down
Molded polyurethane surfaces on these chairs and stools are easy to access and clean. For use in areas where seating is subject to regular and thorough cleanup of contaminants such as dust, dirt, particulate, liquid spills, etc. (areas where upholstered cushions are not acceptable/practical). Applications include healthcare, laboratories, pharmaceutical, food service, dry goods (food related) manufacturing, etc.
Clean Room Class 1000
Seating designed for this application is highly cleanable and minimizes environmental contamination (the release or harboring of dust and particles from cushioning materials, etc.). Class 1000 is a less intensive clean room classification. Applications include health care, test/lab facilities, film processing/manufacturing and clean manufacturing environments such as paint and finishing areas. Air is usually controlled and filtered in these environments. Worker uniforms would typically include lab coats, gloves and overshoes or a change of footwear.
Clean Room Class 100
Seating designed for this application is highly cleanable and meets a more intensive standard for environmental contamination. Cushions are polyurethane or vinyl upholstered with vinyl covered seat bottoms and integrated filters. Polished aluminum bases are standard. Applications include pharmaceutical, biomedical, health care, microelectronic, etc. Air quality is routinely monitored and controlled in these environments. Worker uniforms would include hair nets, gowns, face masks, foot coverings and gloves.
24 Hour Multi-Shift Seating
Seating designed for 24 hour or multi-shift use is specially constructed using heavy-duty components and materials in order to withstand intensive use. Applications include: dispatch, control rooms, security stations, police/fire/ambulance stations, etc. These chairs feature extra heavy duty synchro-tilt mechanism, seat slider, ratchet backrest height adjustment, heavy duty base and casters, injection molded foam cushions and vinyl protective edging on backrest cushion.
